I’m half way through Catalina and am obsessed with the MC’s way with words. I mean, they are the author’s words, but Catalina is so rich she seems like her own real entity, not a character in a story!

You picked that one! She is a very strong character. I love how she insults people and they don’t even notice. When you get to the scene in the car… I need to hear from you again!

Got there! Man, that whole part of the story was so freaking tense and brilliant. And I think it was so real, no matter what one has in common or doesn’t with her, that feeling of complete and total need to LEAVE NOW. That scene is gonna stick awhile.

This is such a touching and illuminating story for someone far away in the UK to understand what is actually going on at the US/Mexico border. It is so important to have the human perspective after all the news headlines.

A profound story. All it takes is one person to make a difference in someone’s life. Casa was an incredible place, I had the honor of volunteering there for several years. Thanks for publishing this story.

Wow Abra this was so powerful! The things this young man has endured, and the generosity of those who help… just beautiful and heartbreaking all at once ❤️
