😎📗Happy summer Friday. The National Book Foundation has created a fun summer reading adventure list and I’m hoping some of you might like to join in completing it. Here’s a link to the printable pdf and to the site where, if you submit your completed entry, you could win a trip for two to the National Book Awards! Just post below any of the items you’ve completed in the last week, or any you’re going to try in the coming week. The best part? You choose your own books to read, and this can be completed no matter whether your summer reading tastes tend toward prize winners, classics, or paperbacks light in volume and subject matter. Everyone who submits a completed entry gets a discount coupon for book buying. It would be so fun if one of The Booktender regulars won the grand prize.
This week I will complete the item related to listening to an audio book-- I'm one-two punching Master, Slave, Husband, Wife, going back and forth between my printed copy when I can sit and the audio which is also quite excellent, while in the car or cleaning. And I listed to the Stacks podcast interview with Melissa Mogollon whose book Oye is recently out while at the gym. How about you?
I’m in, intrepid fellow readers!
Hi Marina! Great. It looks like fun and I would love to hear what you’re reading or which activities on the adventure you are most excited about!
Deal - I will check in, and I hope others will, too.
I’ll send another note next Friday! Have a fun reading week!
