Thanks so much for featuring me in your series, Abra, and it was a great pleasure to discuss such an interesting memoir with you. I love your recommendations and will try to get hold of the Babitz book soon!

You’re welcome Kolina. I find it so interesting that Babitz is having a resurgence among young celebrities with book clubs. I understand it better after reading Anolik’s book.

I really want to read that now!

I will have to read the Dunne book, thanks! Great interview. I wrote a short piece on the murder a couple of years back called '3 October 30th Murders' on Zodiackmak.com which were at one time or another linked to the Zodiac Killer. (Sorry for the plug). The other 2 being Cherie Jo Bates and Martha Moxley. BTW, WHO has a Friday afternoon event as a family? Strange

Ah! Yes, she was murdered on Halloween. The Friday Afternoon Club was a gathering Dominque held for friends from her acting classes but she included her mother who, it seems, supplied the group with wine and was unable to get out as much due to MS.

Do you do audio books? It would be a great listen too, I think.

I actually have never been able to get into audio books, which is a big disappointment to me because I know I’d get through many more books, and my husband loves them! But I always seem to end up zoning out and missing half the story…maybe I will have to try again!

I can’t really concentrate on fiction audiobooks either. But for some reason I like consuming memoir or non-fiction that way.

Came to this belatedly, but am so glad I did! I won't be reading the Dunne book — it's not quite for me — but loved this discussion of memoir and biography and more!
